Set of 4 "Sof-Tech" Side Chairs By David Rowland For Thonet, 1970s. The frame is composed of 3 tubes of chromed steel. Seat and back are made of a steel frame gridded sheet, coated in a revolutionary material called "Soflex" invented by Rowland. The seat arches slightly upward creating a spring-like effect making the chairs extremely comfortable. 4 chairs available, sold as a set of 4. In good vintage condition, some rust to chrome throughout and cracking to Soflex in some areas. The cracking does not affect the structure of the chair and they remain fully functional. Dimensions: 32.5"H x 18"W x 20.5"D / Seat Height: 18"
